Yellowstone and Teton National Parks
The Somewhere Series // National Parks
When @vintagevarietygroup announced their Wanderlust event for today and tomorrow, and I knew I’d be midway through my National Parks series, I thought the perfect way to collaborate would be to share and educate about the most and least visited national parks. Although tomorrow’s might be a mystery, I think everyone could guess today’s destination!
Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, while adjacent, offer contrasting yet captivating landscapes and experiences. Yellowstone, the world’s First National Park, is renowned for its geothermal features and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Grand Teton is famed for its stunning jagged glacially-carved mountain peaks and crystal clear lakes. Both offer unrivaled wildlife viewing opportunities. Yellowstone is significantly more visited than Grand Teton, but I included them together due to proximity and ease of visiting both in the same trip.
Check my store for individual items and details about each park. A special note that 50% of sales from all prints featured in my National Parks series this month will be donated to the National Parks Foundation, which raises private funds to support the National Park Service and the 400+ national parks, helping to fund projects and programs that protect landscapes, wilderness, historical sites, and places of cultural significance. I’ll include some very sweet maps and prints relating to each park, so lots of options! Help me help them! Prints run $12-$25 depending on sizes available.
Prints celebrating Yellowstone and Teton National Parks include Smokey the Bear, a vintage Yellowstone map and bird’s eye view, a drawing of the Tetons from Idaho, and the History and Romance of Wyoming map.
Beyond prints, if you’re looking to decorate in a woodland or cabin vibe, look for mountain landscape paintings, antlers, animal figurines, vintage books, or pennants from your favorite locations.
